When you call someone for help, the first thing they want to know is what the BSOD said. This is a setting in the Operating System that makes the computer automatically reboot on failure. This quick tutorial will show you how to turn that setting off, so that if your computer were to ever crash, you will be able to get the details of it. <o><\/o><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\"><o> <\/o><\/span><img src=\"http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/showing_windows_xp_blue_screens_01.JPG\" alt=\"Showing_windows_XP_Blue_Screens_01.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">To start, right click on you\u2019re my Computer Icon on your desktop. If you don\u2019t have a My Computer icon, you can do it through the start menu by right-clicking on My Computer in there. Once you right click, you will get the above menu. You want to select properties.<o><\/o><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\"><o> <\/o><\/span><img src=\"http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/showing_windows_xp_blue_screens_02.JPG\" alt=\"Showing_windows_XP_Blue_Screens_02\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">Once you do that, the above window will appear. This is the main area to configure a lot of settings for your computer. As you can see, we have a few different areas that we can configure here. The one we want to go into for the settings that we want to configure is under the &#8220;Startup and Recovery&#8221; section. Under this section you should be able to see a Check Box that says \u201cAutomatically Restart\u201d. Un-check that box and click on OK. Close out the properties Window as well.
