The software is essentially a notepad replacement that will highlight the syntax of the code that you are working with, like below:<\/p>\n<p><a href='http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_01.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_01.jpg\" alt=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_01\" title=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_01\" width=\"577\" height=\"345\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1541\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, this makes working with the code a lot easier and there is less confusion. Let\u2019s get started installing our software.<\/p>\n<p>First we need to download the software to be installed. You can choose whether you want to have Start Menu group, and Quick Launch button. I recommend keeping the syntax files. These are the files that tells it how to \u201ccolor\u201d the text when you are working with code.<\/p>\n<p><a href='http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_09.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_09.jpg\" alt=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_09\" title=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_09\" width=\"503\" height=\"393\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1549\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This window allows you to pick where you install the files for it to run. Click on close to conclude the installation.<\/p>\n<p><a href='http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_11.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_11.jpg\" alt=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_11\" title=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_11\" width=\"329\" height=\"146\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1551\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The first time you launch it will you receive the above box telling you that the config file has been corrupted and that it is setting up the defaults. This is simply because you don\u2019t have a config file since you haven\u2019t run it yet.<\/p>\n<p><a href='http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_12.jpg'><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/teamtutorials.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/installing_crimson_code_editor_12.jpg\" alt=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_12\" title=\"installing_crimson_code_editor_12\" width=\"536\" height=\"377\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1552\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Launch the application using the icon on your desktop or the quick launch icon (if you set them to appear in the installation). These are files that are included with the editor for you to open to see the syntax highlighting at work.
